Kalle Shirt Dress

Today, I present to you my version of the "Kalle" pattern from Closet Case Pattern.

The pattern offers 3 versions: a "cropped" shirt, a hip-length shirt and a dress version. I chose the last one and sewed it with our cotton denim .

I made it in size 10, my usual size for these patterns and didn't make any changes (I just didn't put the chest pockets).

My verdict: great! The dress fits very well. It is fitted at the top of the body and flared just enough at the bottom. This cut refines the silhouette and avoids the parachute effect.

The fabric fits well, it is fluid but remains structured. A perfect version for the season, to wear with a turtleneck underneath or a big cardigan on top.

I used liberty bias to finish the hem, as usual 😁 and Merchant & Mills mother-of-pearl buttons .
