The mysterious "tombo-dama" (glass beads) pins, their method of production was already established during the Nara period (which began in 710 AD), using closely monitored techniques.

The floral designs of these tombo-dama are called "millefiori", which means "thousand flowers". The components are heated in the flame of a burner and carefully shaped.

The pins are made in Hiroshima, a region famous for pin making.

Each set includes 3 unique pins (so may differ from photo).
